The New Bedford Whaling Museum is hosting "First Fridays: Punk Meets Classical, The Legge Family Jam" on Friday, November 7, starting at 6:00 PM (doors open at 5:00 PM).

The event features Ian Legge, "The Punk Cellist," a Berklee graduate known for blending formal classical training with raw punk energy. Legge, who has recorded with bands like Sum 41 and NOFX, will be celebrating the release of his new album of covers, Arrangements Vol. I.

The night will progress through three stages:

• Classical Punk: Ian and The Punk Cellist Quartet will perform 5 string arrangements.

• Family Jam: A Legge Family jam session will take place in the gallery.

• Full Punk Show: The evening culminates in a full-blown punk show where Ian will perform 5 full-band songs from his album (covering bands like Ramones and Blink 182) along with other local punk acts.

It is an 18+ event with lite bites provided and a cash bar available (21+ with ID for service).
